I fell in love with Picton House in Ramsgate as soon as I laid eyes on it. It's my peaceful, comfortable, stylish sanctuary by the sea! Newly refurbished and redecorated throughout, it was a joy to see my vision for the perfect, peaceful seaside retreat come to life. I plan to use it wherever I can myself, as I love it so much, but I hope that it will appeal to holidaymakers as much as it does to me. 

With fast wifi connections, a brand-new television boasting all the channels and a cosy "real-looking" gas fire in the living room, it's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and escape to work away from home or relax. The garden is south-facing, private and sunny in the Summer, with a nice, decked area with garden furniture and a barbecue to enjoy drinks and food on the terrace and a fence at the edge of the decking making it safe for children.

It has free parking on the road outside and is just a short stroll to the beach, the pretty harbour and the shops. Lovely restaurants and bars in the town are within easy reach and the gorgeous beaches and nightlife in Broadstairs and Margate are just a ten-minute drive away.

A lovely house on a quiet suburban street with plenty of parking. Close to a very nice local park and within walking distance of the town centre, with supermarkets and convivial pubs nearby.

The house is very nicely decorated with plenty of seating and comfortable bedrooms. A simple kitchen with all necessary appliances and equipment for a family holiday. A very neat and tidy garden with outdoor terrace/eating and barbeque area is found in the quiet area at the rear of the house.

Everything one would need for a comfortable stay in a great seaside location! Entry was simple and the condition of the rooms was immaculate on arrival. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at this house in Ramsgate. The space is generous, with lovely, comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. You can really tell that every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the furnishings to the little touches throughout the house. Everything we needed was there, and it felt like a real home away from home. We’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ramsgate.

A Perfect Weekend Retreat

From the moment we arrived, Picton House felt like a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively.  Just a short walk from Ramsgate harbour, it offered the perfect blend of calm, comfort, and character. The interior was tastefully styled with thoughtful touches throughout, making it feel more like a family home than a rental.

Waking up to the sound of seagulls and sipping a morning coffee overlooking the garden was pure bliss. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless. I especially appreciated the comfortable seating in the sitting room -  ideal for curling up with a book after a walk on the beach .

It is clear that our hosts were passionate about creating a welcoming space. Whether you're looking for a family getaway, a romantic retreat or simply a place to recharge, this house is a gem. We left feeling restored and will definitely be returning for a second visit later in the year.
